Norwegian Cruise Line has canceled 38 cruises scheduled between November 2025 and April 2026.
The canceled cruises were on the Norwegian Dawn, Norwegian Jewel and Norwegian Star, according to a statement sent to travel advisors Wednesday. The line has not announced details of the ships' redeployments.
The Jewel's Tampa itineraries from Nov. 23 to April 5 have been canceled. The ship had been scheduled to sail Caribbean cruises of five to 14 days.
Between Nov. 2 and April 12, the Dawn had been scheduled to sail 12- to 21-day cruises, looping around the southern tip of Africa before heading to the Persian Gulf, cutting across to Singapore and circling back around Africa en route to Europe.
The Star's nixed cruises include the ship's season in South America and Antarctica between Nov. 20 and April 14.
Affected guests will receive a full monetary refund of the fare paid to the original form of payment provided at the time of reservation. The line will also offer a 10% discount through a future cruise credit.
Travel advisors' commissions will be protected for bookings paid in full.
Because of redeployment, NCL had also canceled a 14-night South Pacific cruise on the Norwegian Sun that was to depart Aug. 7, 2025, according to Cruise Industry News. NCL also had canceled short cruises on the Norwegian Getaway departing Aug. 17 and Aug. 21, 2026, because NCL booked a full ship charter, reported Cruise Industry News.
