Norwegian Cruise Line has raised the price of its Ultimate Beverage package to $89 per person, per day, a new high for the cruise industry.

The increase is a 13% jump from the previous $79 price.

Including the 18% gratuity and beverage service charge, the total cost of the package rises to $104.48, the first time the daily amount has crossed the $100 threshold.

As recently as 2014, Norwegian charged $54 for the Ultimate Beverage package, which includes all alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks that individually cost $15 or less.

The cost of the Corks and Caps package, which is limited to beer, wine and nonalcoholic drinks, remains at $59.

At Carnival Cruise Line, the Cheers beverage package costs $49.95 plus tax and 15% gratuity when purchased in advance, or $54.95 when bought on the ship.

The cost of Royal Caribbean's Deluxe Beverage package varies by ship and itinerary but generally can be pre-purchased for between $44 and $52 per person, per day.
