Norwegian Cruise Line has nixed seven months of Norwegian Sun sailings in 2025 in favor of repositioning the ship.

The line canceled the Sun's sailings from March 28 through Nov. 3. All changes are being communicated to guests, according to the line.

NCL declined to provide details about the redeployment, although Cruise Mapper shows the ship was scheduled to sail in the eastern Mediterranean early that spring, with calls in Israel and Turkiye, before sailing west in Europe as the year progressed.

Cruise lines have redeployed ships sailing the eastern Mediterranean due to Israel's war with Hamas, which started on Oct. 7.

Norwegian said it will announce the Sun's new 2025 deployment soon.
