Norwegian Cruise Line, reacting to Hurricane Ignacio churning across the Pacific, altered the itinerary of its Pride of America ship.

The seven-night Hawaii cruise that departed Aug. 29 was rescheduled to call in Nawiliwili on Sunday. The ship planned to overnight there and then visit Hilo on Wednesday, and Kahului on Thursday for another overnight before returning to Honolulu on Saturday.

Ignacio is a powerful Category 3 storm but is expected to weaken and pass north of the Hawaiian Islands on Monday night.

A tropical storm watch has been discontinued for the Big Island and Maui County.
