Oceania Cruises will open a steak restaurant on the Sirena that
isn’t on any of its other ships.
To be called Tuscan Steak, the restaurant will offer steaks
and seafood with a Tuscan flair, Oceania said. Dining at Tuscan Steak will be included in the cruise fare.
Menu items will include a
signature Tuscan porterhouse, bistecca alla fiorentina; pork chops from
acorn-fed Iberian pigs, served with black gaeta olives; and Maine lobster fra
diavolo.
Sirena, a former Renaissance Cruises and Princess Cruises
ship, is scheduled to enter service for Oceania on April 27, 2016, after a $40
million refurbishment.
The ship will also get the Red Ginger Asian-style restaurant
familiar to Oceania customers and the main dining room will employ the Jacques
Bistro concept at lunch.
The menu at Jacques Bistro will be seasonal in nature, with
its hot-weather menu focused on grilled and short-cooked fare, and its cold-weather
menu featuring more sauce- and stew-oriented dishes.
Red Ginger is on
several of Oceania’s ships. Jacques Bistro is a new concept that was inspired
by the Jacques specialty restaurant on Oceania’s Marina and Riviera ships.
