P&O Australia to lose Pacific Sky for two months

MIAMI -- The Pacific Sky, one of P&O Cruises Australia's ships, will be pulled from service for two months in order to repair a technical problem with a gearbox.

Parent company Carnival Corp. said Wednesday that the ship's withdrawal from service will impact the company's second-quarter earnings per-share by about $.02.

The Sky is expected to re-enter service on June 4, Carnival said.
