Princess Cruises made a three-ship swap for its summer 2021
deployment in Alaska and Europe.
The Majestic Princess will sail its first Alaska season,
replacing the Regal Princess and picking up all of the Regal’s Inside Passage
departures from Seattle from May to September.
The Regal Princess will move to Southampton, England,
replacing the Grand Princess for summer 2021, sailing roundtrip cruises to the
Mediterranean, Norway, Scandinavia, Iceland and other parts of Europe.
The Grand Princess will be deployed to the West Coast for Mexico
and California sailings out of Los Angeles.
Passengers booked on the Regal Princess’ Alaska cruises and the
Grand Princess’ Europe sailings will have their bookings automatically moved to
the Majestic Princess in Alaska and Regal Princess in Europe. They will receive
a new booking confirmation.
As a result of these changes the following cruises are
canceled: Regal Princess’ South Pacific
Crossing, two Grand Princess seven-day Europe cruises, and the Regal Princess’ five-day
Alaska Sampler cruise that was to depart May 4.
Princess last month said that it would redeploy the Majestic
Princess to Los Angeles from fall 2021 through spring 2022.
2021 will be the Majestic Princess’ first year in the U.S.
The ship was purpose-built for the Chinese market and has been seasonally
sailing in Australia and Taiwan since entering service in 2017.
