Princess goes wireless fleet wide

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. -- Princess Cruises expanded its wireless computer wireless capabilities to its entire fleet, which means passengers who bring their laptops on vacation can surf the Internet via the ships wireless network.

Starting with the introduction of the Island Princess in mid-2003, Wi-fi capabilities have been available on the newer Princess ships; but now, the line said, wireless hotspots are accessible throughout the fleet. Passengers with wireless-adaptable laptops can access the network in any ships atrium for 35 cents per minute.

In addition, Princess said it updated its Internet Cafes on the Sun Princess, the Dawn Princess and the Regal Princess, and expanded the number of desktop computers onboard.
