Renaissance sets override structure

FORT LAUDERDALE -- Renaissance Cruises announced details of its override commission structure, part of the company's Great Horizons agent program.

Beginning Aug. 15, Renaissance will offer five commission levels: agents who produce $25,000 to $49,999 will earn commissions of 11%; $50,000 to $74,999 earns 12%; $75,000 to $99,999 earns 13%, $100,000 to $149,000 earns 14% and $150,000 or more earns 15%.

Agents who have sold Renaissance over the past 12 months will immediately earn overrides based on their dollar volume. Override levels will be based on a 12-month cycle and will apply to the cruise portion of each booking.

Renaissance will pay 10% commission on air, hotel and other travel-related bookings, including air upgrades.

"We readily acknowlegde that higher compensation opportunities are one of the many incentives agents look for when considering a cruise for their clients," said Bob Binder, vice president of sales.

Further details of Great Horizons will be announced in the next several weeks, he added.
