Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. has officially changed its name to Royal Caribbean Group.
The company has been using the moniker for several months now.
Royal Caribbean Group CEO Richard Fain said in a statement Thursday that the name was "simpler, fresher and more modern."
It's also more descriptive," he continued. "Royal Caribbean Group sounds like a parent company name, reflective of our growth and evolution since we last updated our identity more than 20 years ago."
The company includes the cruise lines Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, Silversea and Azamara, plus Europe-focused lines TUI Cruises and Hapag-Lloyd Cruises.
An updated logo was also introduced, with its crown and anchor emblem "sharpened and made more symmetrical" the company said.
