Royal Caribbean is continuing its pause on visits to its Haitian private destination, Labadee, through June 2027.

This decision is an extension of an ongoing pause that began in April 2025 when gang activity was reported to be increasing in Haiti. In January, Royal Caribbean canceled all cruise calls at Labadee for 2026.

"This decision was made with the safety and well-being of our guests and crew members in mind," said a Royal Caribbean Group spokesperson. "We have communicated these changes directly with guests."

The company is helping to place Labadee staff in positions across its fleet and destinations during the pause, a Royal Caribbean spokesperson said.

Labadee is in northern Haiti on a peninsula about 130 miles from Port-au-Prince.
