Royal Caribbean puts more Alaska shore excursions on the map

Royal Caribbean International has revealed its newest Alaska cruise tours for the 2007 season, which runs May through September. In total, the cruise line will offer more than 135 tours in Southeast Alaska next year.

New tours range from snorkeling off Ketchikan or taking a catamaran cruise through Lynn Fjord, Alaska's deepest fjord, to a limited float plane excursion for bear watching in Anan Creek or dog sledding on a glacier.

Highlights of Royal Caribbean's new shore excursions for Alaska are as follows:

" Anan Creek Bear Watch: Available to a limited number of guests, this excursion transports passengers by float plane to Anan Bay for a hike to a secure bear-viewing observatory. In addition to the chance to view both brown and black bears in their natural habitat, bald eagles, seals, mink and wolf also are plentiful in the area.
