Royal Caribbean International has revealed
its newest Alaska cruise tours for the 2007 season, which runs May
through September. In total, the cruise line will offer more than
135 tours in Southeast Alaska next year.
New tours range
from snorkeling off Ketchikan or taking a catamaran cruise through
Lynn Fjord, Alaska's deepest fjord, to a limited float plane
excursion for bear watching in Anan Creek or dog sledding on a
glacier.
Highlights of Royal
Caribbean's new shore excursions for Alaska are as
follows:
" Anan
Creek Bear Watch: Available to a limited number of guests,
this excursion transports passengers by float plane to Anan Bay for
a hike to a secure bear-viewing observatory. In addition to the
chance to view both brown and black bears in their natural habitat,
bald eagles, seals, mink and wolf also are plentiful in the
area.

" Dog
Sledding on the Mendenhall Glacier: By helicopter, guests
can view crevasses and glacier-carved peaks from above, and, by
land, experience the scenery while sledding through the Alaskan
landscape, all under the direction of the Mendenhall Glacier
dogsled camp.

Point Wilderness Safari: Visitors travel through deep
fjords, rain forests and mountainous scenery on a guided wilderness
safari. The adventure includes a catamaran cruise through Alaska's
Lynn Fjord, a nature walk offering views of the Davidson Glacier
and canoeing amid blue icebergs.

Point Snorkeling Adventure: Travelers can immerse
themselves in Alaska's sea world when they snorkel the calm and
clear waters of Mountain Point with its multicolored sea stars,
urchins, sea cucumbers and giant sunflower stars.

Safari by Land & Sea: During a journey through the
waterways of Juneau's Channel Islands, guests can capture the
attractions and marine wildlife through photography lessons with a
professional coach.

" Yukon
Exploration & White Pass Scenic Railway: Guests travel
by motorcoach along the Skagway River Canyon over the summit of
White Pass into Canada's Yukon Territory. Following the footsteps
of the original gold seekers, guests explore the popular Yukon
sites of Pitchfork Falls, the White Pass Summit and Dead Horse
Gulch. Travel back to Skagway on the White Pass and Yukon route
railroad for a scenic and historic rail journey.
