Royal Olympic receives Olympia Explorer

PIRAEUS, Greece -- Royal Olympic Cruise Lines took delivery in Hamburg, Germany, of its long-awaited, Olympia Explorer, which is claimed to be capable of speeds up to 30 knots.

The ship embarked rapidly for Port of Piraeus in Greece, where it will begin May 3 a series of weekly cruises calling at Corfu, Katakolon, Mykonos and Santorini, Greece; Venice and Bari, Italy; Dubrovnik, Croatia; and Istanbul, Turkey.

Passengers will be able to board in Piraeus, Venice or Istanbul.
