Following a two-week drydock, the Sapphire Princess has re-entered service with two more specialty restaurants, Makoto Ocean and Crown Grill, which will open Nov. 16.

Makoto Ocean debuted on the Sun Princess in 2024 and is also on its sister ship, Star Princess. On the Sapphire Princess, the restaurant is in the Deck 7 space formerly occupied by the internet cafe.

The restaurant brings the artistry of Chef Makoto Okuwa's Edomae-style sushi to sea. Menu items include truffle salmon, snow crab temaki and toro tartare, along with cocktails such as the Genmai Negroni (a negroni made with genmaicha tea) and Kodai No Hana (yuzu juice with Doburoku sake).

The Crown Grill steakhouse occupies the space where the Savoy dining room was on Deck 5.

Both specialty restaurants are $60 per person and are an option for guests who book the Princess Premier package.

The Sapphire Princess will sail a season of South America/Antarctica cruises, followed by Mediterranean and Northern Europe voyages in spring and summer 2026. In fall 2026, the Sapphire Princess will sail a series of Canada/New England cruises.

The 21-year-old ship can accommodate 2,670 passengers at double occupancy.
