The steel hull built for Seabourn Cruises' upcoming new-build, the Odyssey, arrived at Italy's T. Mariotti's shipyard in Genoa.
The hull was constructed in San Giorgio di Nogaro in the Gulf of Venice, and was towed south through the Adriatic, around the heel and up the coast of Italy to the shipyard, where blocks of the yacht's superstructure have been under construction while the hull was being completed.
The final construction and fitting out of the vessel will be performed over the next year in time for the Odyssey's launch in June 2009, Seabourn said.
The 450-passenger Odyssey will be the cruise industry's first new luxury ship in six years, Seabourn said.
