Regent Seven Seas Cruises said it will debut a new pan-Asian restaurant on the Seven Seas Explorer when it is launched next summer.

Pacific Rim will feature Asian fusion dishes such as tempura battered Canadian lobster with shiso leaf finished with an orange ponzu sauce and spicy mayo, and a miso-spiced black cod wrapped in hoba leaf accompanied by pickled daikon and spicy den miso.

The restaurant, the third to be unveiled for Explorer, will be decorated by design firm RTKL Associates. Guests will have ocean views through windows designed in an abstract lotus shape, a universal Asian motif.  Smoky mirrors between the windows will add volume to the room by reflecting muted light throughout the space and illuminating intricate architectural details, Regent said.

The maiden voyage of the 750-passenger Explorer is set for July 20, 2016.
