Holland America Line detailed the 2013 Asia deployment of the 1,432-passenger Volendam.

The ship will sail a series of 14-day cruises between Singapore and Hong Kong, and Kobe and Hong Kong, along with a Kobe roundtrip.

A total of nine voyages, including a 16-day sailing from Sydney to Singapore and a 17-day transpacific crossing from Kobe to Vancouver, will operate from December 2012 through April 2013.

“Travel research continues to indicate that interest in the Far East is rising and Asia explorations remain on the wish lists of our guests,” said Richard Meadows, Holland America Line's executive vice president of marketing, sales and guest programs.

The Volendam currently is operating 14-day Australia-New Zealand cruises through March.
