NEW YORK -- Alitalia teamed with World in Touch to offer mobile
phone rentals and services to passengers traveling to Europe.
The arrangement costs $20 for delivery and return service; $25
for first week usage, and $5 per day thereafter.
Within Italy, incoming calls are free; outgoing local calls are
$0.95 per minute and outgoing international calls are $2.95 to
$5.95 per minute. If users travel outside of Italy, incoming calls
are $1.95 per minute but the cost of outgoing calls remains the
same.
