BC Rail sets 4 winter packages

VANCOUVER -- BC Rail is offering four packages to top winter destinations in British Columbia.

All packages offer roundtrip rail transportation.

The Train Triangle is a five-day, four-night trip to the Canadian Rockies.

Departing from Vancouver, tourists are transported to the town of Prince George for an overnight stay. Guests will then travel to the Jasper Park Lodge, situated in the Rockies, where they can take part in a variety of winter activities.

The package is available through April 30 and is priced at $855 per person, double.

BC Rail is also presenting two packages to Cariboo Country.

The first is the Spa Spoiler, a four-day, three-night trip from North Vancouver to the Hills Guest Ranch.

Included in the stay are facials, saunas, massages and personal training. In addition, outdoor activities, such as skiing, ice skating and sleigh rides are offered.

This package is available through April 30 at a rate of $415 per person, double.

Another four-day, three night package, titled Cariboo Snow Days, offers more winter activities.

Visitors will travel to the 108 Mile Ranch, at which options include a one-hour cross-country skiing lesson, a one-hour snowmobile lesson or the rental of toboggans or snowshoes. A full breakfast each morning is included.

The price for the package, which includes taxes, on-board meals and ski lessons is $310 per person, double. It is available through March 30.

For avid skiiers, the Whistler Winter Getaway provides a way to enjoy Whistler, one of North America's top ski resorts.

The one-night package includes shuttle service between the train station and resort, two one-day ski passes, one night's accommodations at Whistler Village and taxes.

Available through April 30, the package is priced at $185 per person, double.
