CANCUN -- Starting in July, guests of the JW Marriott Cancun Resort
and Spa will have the option of staying at Club 91, a new section
within the resort offering upgraded services and amenities.
The name "Club 91" comes from the 91 steps leading up the Mayan
pyramid at Chichen Itza. Each of the four sides of the pyramid has
91 steps, which added together account for the 364 days in the
Mayan calendar year.
Guests of Club 91 will have access to a private lounge offering
five daily food and beverage presentations. Other services and
amenities will include personalized check-in, preferred spa
reservations, complimentary airport transfers, oceanview rooms,
butler service and a departure gift.
Club 91 consists of 33 rooms, including one Presidential Suite,
on the resort's 14th floor. Rates will start at $339 per room
during the summer season (July 1 to Aug. 15).
"Not only will [Club 91] enhance our guests' overall resort
experience, but it will also solidify JW Marriott's position within
the upscale Cancun market," said Chris Calabrese, general
manager.
