NEW YORK -- Park East, a nature tour operator specializing in
African safaris, added qualified naturalist guides on its East
African wildlife safaris for groups as small as four people.
Dedicated to "making the safari experience as rich and memorable
as possible," Park East said the guides offer clients the
opportunity to travel with an expert on animal behavior.
"With a skilled naturalist guide accompanying groups of only four
people, we're making it easy for travel agents to offer a valuable
selling point to their clients," said Eric Gordon, the firm's chief
executive officer.
"This makes Park East's safaris an exceptional value by offering
superior service to the client for competitive prices."
Gordon added that the firm pays 12% commission to agents.
Park East offers a naturalist guide on its nine-night Kenya
Classic, designed for the traveler who is "short on time but wants
the full safari experience," the company said.
Beginning at $3,895, the Kenya Classic offers Friday departures
and Sunday returns.
Guides also will accompany clients on the 13-night Wing Safari
to Kenya, from $5,195; the 16-night Safari Royale to Kenya and
Tanzania, from $5,895; the nine-night Serengeti Safari to Tanzania,
$3,995; the 16-night Imperial Safari to Kenya and Tanzania, from
$8,295, and the 11-night Kenya Family Safari, designed for
youngsters and adults, from $4,395. Prices are per person.
Naturalist guides also accompany the Kenya portion of Park
East's trans-African itineraries, such as the 17-night African
Explorer safari, starting at $6,995, which includes Cape Town,
South Africa, and Victoria Falls, on the Zambia-Zimbabwe border,
and the 18-night African Odyssey, starting at $5,295, which
includes Egypt.
Prices include all air travel and deluxe accommodations.
