Crown of Surfing is considered the pinnacle of surf events for the
year.
The series
comprises three surf contests that are scheduled between Nov. 12
and Dec. 20: the Hawaiian Pro, from Nov. 12 to 24 at Haleiwa's Alii
Beach; the O'Neill World Cup of Surfing, from Nov. 25 to Dec. 6 at
Sunset Beach; and the Billabong Pipeline Masters, from Dec. 8 to 20
at the Banzai Pipeline.

The Regal
Sun Resort, formerly known as the Grosvenor, completed a
$25 million renovation project in September and is offering a
holiday package through Dec. 30.
The renovation plan
included remodeling all guest rooms and suites, refurbishments to
the lobby and corridors and updates to the restaurants and
lounges.
The holiday package
features overnight accommodations in a remodeled room, breakfast
buffet for up to four people at the resort's new LakeView
restaurant and transfers to the Walt Disney World theme
parks.

New York's
Roosevelt Hotel extended its Ratatouille --
Anyone Can Cook package through March 31. The plan originally was scheduled to expire Dec. 31.
The extension follows the DVD release of the
Disney Pixar animated film "Ratatouille"
on Nov. 6.
Cooks-in-training
will get a private cooking lesson with the Roosevelt Grill's chef
as well as dinner at the restaurant; a platter of gourmet cheeses
at turndown; a drawn bath with fresh herbs; a copy of the movie on
DVD; and a copy of a New York cookbook for adults and the
"Ratatouille! What's Cookin' " cookbook for kids.
