South Pacific Holidays creates variety of packages to Fiji

VANCOUVER, Wash. -- South Pacific Holidays put together a number of dive, honeymoon and general leisure packages to Fiji that are good for travel through March.

For couples on their honeymoon, the company offers a 10-night package at Vatulele Island Resort for $11,278 per couple if paid with check or cash.

The price rises 3%, to $11,616, for credit card purchases. In fact, the price for all South Pacific Holidays packages mentioned here is 3% higher than the listed price if purchased by credit card.

The honeymoon package includes accommodations in one of the 18 villas; air transportation from Los Angeles, including one way in business class; all meals and drinks (including alcohol), and activities such as tennis, sailing, shore fishing and jungle hikes.

Another package features a seven-night stay at Vomo Island in one of 30 one-room villas. The air-inclusive price from Los Angeles is $3,726 per person, double, and includes all meals, tennis, golf and nonmotorized water sports. The company also has three dive packages, also available through March 31.

At Garden Island Resort on Taveuni Island, a seven-night, air-inclusive plan from Los Angeles in a standard room with all meals and five days' diving with two tanks per day costs $1,995 per person, double. The resort has 33 rooms, a restaurant, a bar and golf and tennis.

At the Matagi Island Resort, a seven-night, air-inclusive plan from Los Angeles with all meals and five days' diving with two tanks each day starts at $2,489 per person, double.

Also, at the Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji Islands Resort, an air-inclusive, seven-night package with all meals and five days' diving with two tanks a day costs $2,599 per person, double.

This package is restricted to departures on Sundays, Tuesdays or Thursdays.
