THE PALMS' Pearl
Concert Theater opens its doors on March 17 with a performance from
rock group Evanescence. The 2,500-seat venue promises an intimate
concert experience: The stage is only four feet off the floor, and
no seat is more than 120 feet from the performers. Two
14-by-16-foot video screens at either side of the stage allow for
even closer views of performances, and 18 private and semiprivate
skyboxes overlook the theater. Other acts scheduled to perform
include comedian Carlos Mencia on March 23, singer Gwen Stefani on
April 21, rock band Fall Out Boy on April 29 and musician Alejandro
Sanz on June 6. For more information, call (702) 942-7777 or visit

trash cans and matchboxes to create percussive music, dance and
visual comedy, is coming to Las Vegas this month. Preview
performances of "Stomp Out Loud" will begin March 24 at the Aladdin
Resort and Casino. A 1,500-seat theater, the Stomp Out Loud
Showroom, has been built for the show. For more information, call

HARRAH'S ENTERTAINMENT rebranded the Barbary Coast Hotel & Casino as Bill's

acquired the property from Boyd Gaming Corp earlier this year. For

LE REVE, the acrobatic
water show at Wynn Las Vegas, will close March 6 through April 5
for theater renovations. The $8 million upgrade will include a
complete theater redesign. The new design will include Art Nouveau
floral motifs in red and gold. The number of seats in the theater
will be reduced from 2,087 to 1,606, which will allow for
additional legroom.
LE REVE will also
introduce the VIP Indulgence Package, with complimentary champagne
bottle service, chocolate-covered strawberries, lounge seating and
video monitors that provide up-close imagery and glimpses of
behind-the-scenes action. New per-person pricing for Le Reve shows
includes $99 for the Splash Zone (the first two rows), $119 for
seating in rows C through K and $159 for the VIP Indulgence Package
in the Champagne Circle (row L). For more information, call (702)
