Kudos to Norwegian Cruise Line for its decisive and correct response to Tunisia's refusal to allow several Israeli citizens to disembark the Norwegian Jade during a recent call at the port of La Goulette.

Travel companies sometimes react to these kinds of incidents with efforts at diplomacy and reconciliation, but there are times when what needs to be said is, simply, "we're not going to put up with this." Norwegian correctly recognized that this was one of those times.

The line said it "canceled all remaining calls to Tunisia and will not return," because it wanted to send "a strong message to Tunisia and ports around the world that we will not tolerate such random acts of discrimination against our guests."

It's a message that bears repeating.
