Use it, don't lose it: Travel Weekly

Here's an acronym we should all know: PTO. It stands for Paid Time Off, and it's the topic of the latest public awareness campaign from the U.S. Travel Association, which is encouraging American workers to use their PTO. After all, they earned it.

According to U.S. Travel, U.S. workers left 429 million days of PTO on the table last year, costing the economy an estimated $160 billion in spending that could have benefited a range of industries, including travel and hospitality.

The association is trying to persuade business leaders and consumers to get with the program. You can read about it at www.projecttimeoff.com.
