Austria to enter a 20-day Covid lockdown: Travel Weekly

Due to surging cases of Covid-19, Austria will enter a 20-day lockdown on Monday, Nov. 22, closing hotels, restaurants, sights and attractions.

According to the Austrian National Tourist Office, tourism to the country will not be possible during the lockdown. It will be evaluated after 10 days, but the measure is planned to end on Dec. 13.

During the lockdown period, all residents will be asked to stay home regardless of their vaccination status.
