Galdu Hotel & Spa, a 31-room, family-owned boutique hotel, opened this winter in Saariselkae, Finnish Lapland, on the edge of Urho Kekkonen National Park.

Designed by Finnish architect Pekka Maeki, Galdu features modern Nordic architecture with natural materials, floor-to-ceiling windows and interiors facing the surrounding forest landscapes.

The hotel includes a signature restaurant focused on seasonal Lappish cuisine and an arctic spa offering multiple saunas, warm and cold pools, an outdoor Jacuzzi and cold plunge facilities.

The property, which is open year-round, is priced from about $240 to $830 per night, depending on the season.
