Italy has eased its entry requirements for American leisure travelers.

Under new rules posted on the Italian health ministry website, Americans are among travelers who can now enter using the European's Union's new digital health pass.

To obtain the pass, travelers must provide proof of full Covid-19 vaccination, a negative Covid-19 test or proven immunity to the virus.

Previously, all nonessential travelers from the U.S. could only arrive on specific, nonstop "Covid-tested" flights from the U.S. and were required to be tested before departure and on arrival.
