Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants marked its U.K. debut with the official opening of Kimpton Fitzroy London.

Located in Russell Square in London's Bloomsbury neighborhood, the hotel is located in an 1898 heritage building and features 334 rooms and suites.

Other features include a large ballroom, several restaurants and bars, modern meetings rooms and a 24-hour fitness center.

The pet-friendly hotel is named after the original architect of the building, Charles Fitzroy Doll, a British architect of the Victorian and Edwardian eras, and the decor combines Victorian and modern design elements. The interior was designed by Tara Bernerd & Partners and features contemporary art and textiles by British artist Kit Miles.

Other amenities include a daily complimentary Champagne hour for guests, in-room yoga mats and free loaner bikes.

The property also features the Palm Court interior courtyard; Neptune restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner; Fitz's for cocktails and the Burr & Co. coffee house. The eateries were designed by Russell Sage Studio.

Next year Kimpton will open U.K. hotels in Edinburgh and Glasgow, Scotland and Manchester, England; other upcoming openings include Barcelona, set to open in 2019; Tokyo and Paris, both scheduled to open in 2020; and Frankfurt, due to open in 2023.
