London's Tate Modern unveiled an extensive renovation and expansion June 17, with the addition of the Switch House, which increases the size of the museum by 60%.

The expansion was designed by architects Herzog & de Meuron, who also designed the original Tate Modern in a former power station in 2000.

The redesign now features 800 works of art by more than 300 artists, including an increased focus on international artists. The current exhibition includes works from more than 50 countries, including Chile, India, Russia, Sudan and Thailand.

The new collection also now includes more photography, performance and film, as well as more work by women artists.

The works are displayed across the existing Boiler House and the newly built Switch House.

The museum remained open during the redesign.
