Stockholm recently gained another feather in its gastronomical cap, thanks to the 2009 Michelin Guide awards. Mathias Dahlgren, the restaurant that opened at the Grand Hotel InterContinental Stockholm in 2007, was awarded a coveted two-star rating.
The restaurant menu, which is changed daily, offers a mix of local and international influences and ingredients.
Matbaren, a side restaurant also located in the Grand Hotel, gained recognition simultaneously with the award of its first Michelin star.
The restaurants are co-owned by Mathias Dahlgren, the only Swedish chef to have won the international Bocuse d’Or culinary championship in Lyon, France.
