Belmond will unveil three Grand Suites on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express for the 2020 season, bringing the total number of suites aboard to six.
The new suites, called Vienna, Prague and Budapest, will launch with the first journey of the season on March 21 and will feature the designs of Wimberly Interiors. The decor will include hand-embroidered cushions and intricately carved marquetry as well as en suite bathrooms with private showers, double beds that can be converted into twin beds and a private living area with underfloor heating.
The suites will join the Istanbul, Paris and Vienna Grand Suites.
Guests traveling in one of the Grand Suites receive private transfers to and from the train, the services of a personal 24-hour cabin steward, Champagne and private in-suite dining as well as bespoke amenities and a complimentary bathrobe.
The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express travels throughout Europe from March to November and from Paris to Istanbul on a five-night journey in either August or September.
A one-night journey in a Grand Suite starts from approximately $7,860 per person.
