The Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort has named Richard Elliott the resort's new general manager, according to an Aug. 21 statement.

Elliott was previously the general manager at the Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach on Oahu and has spent more than two decades with Hyatt, according to the release, which noted Elliott was director of operations at the Andaz Maui from 2015 to 2018.
"Having an intimate knowledge of the resort and Andaz brand, I look forward to working with our dedicated team to further craft authentic experiences for our guests, blending the unique spirit of Maui with the exceptional service standards of Andaz," Elliott said in the Aug. 21 statement.
The 15-acre beachfront Andaz Maui at Wailea opened 10 years ago on the island's southwest coast. The luxury resort features 320 guestrooms, a full-service spa, three outdoor infinity pools and six on-site dining options, including Morimoto Maui.
