Halepuna Waikiki, a new resort from Halekulani Corporation, welcomed its first guests on Oct. 25.

The property, formerly the Waikiki Parc, features 284 rooms and four suites, and was closed for roughly one year as it underwent a complete renovation.

"We are extremely excited to introduce this new brand, Halepuna, which carries the hospitality DNA of Halekulani," Halepuna Waikiki general manager Julie Arigo said in a statement. "Halepuna Waikiki is for the traveler who is looking to be in the center of it all in Oahu, while also feeling a sense of relaxation, escape and comfort throughout their entire experience with us."

The new lobby features custom light fixtures, teak finishes, vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. The public art program features contemporary art commissioned exclusively for the hotel showcasing local artists. Guestrooms, in four categories of standard, mountain, ocean and deluxe ocean, range from 309 to 355 square feet with full and partial balconies. The suites range from 619 to 729 square feet with full views of Waikiki Beach.

The new property also includes the Halekulani Bakery & Restaurant, the first branded Halekulani food and beverage outlet. The bakery features a chocolate-viewing kitchen where guests can observe the treats being crafted daily.

Room rates at the Halepuna Waikiki by Halekulani range from $350 to $500 per night and suites start at $996.
