Kauai ATV is closing after 25 years: Travel Weekly

The tour company Kauai ATV is closing its doors Jan. 31 after 25 years in business.

The company offered two tours: a bass fishing tour and its very popular 3-hour guided ATV tour. It took visitors on an off-roading adventure through Kauai's south side to visit the Mahaulepu cliffs, Waita Reservoir and Wilcox Tunnel.

"We would like to thank everyone who followed along and enjoyed the ride with us," Kauai ATV posted on its Facebook page. "We would also like to thank the community for embracing us the past 25 years, it's been a blast!"

Past guests are posting to the page with photos and farewell messages. "This was by far my favorite excursion we paid for in Hawaii," Yoselin Woffinden.

"Thank you for a great time! We will cherish the memories," Luke Hall said.

The company closed because of changes with its lease agreement, according to a reservations agent reached on the phone.
