One of the Valley Isle’s signature annual events, the Maui Film Festival, will be held from June 3 to 7 this year at the south coast Wailea Resort and the Maui Arts & Cultural center.

The event’s five-day schedule will feature around 50 film screenings, including special honors for rising Hollywood stars. Previous festivals have featured recognition and attendance by the likes of Clint Eastwood, Adrien Brody, Helen Hunt, Zooey Deschanel, Claire Danes, Owen Wilson and Zac Efron.

The Maui Film Festival is probably best known, however, for its Celestial Cinema events, held nightly under the Maui stars in front of a 50-foot screen on the Wailea Resort’s golf course at the base Haleakala.

Travel agents can earn a commission for bookings on a varied collection of festival VIP passes, ranging from as little as $50 to more than $3,000 and offering access to the event’s showcase of high-end parties and culinary gatherings.
