Carnival Cruise Line has opened bookings for the Carnival Tropicale, a ship scheduled to debut in Galveston on April 15, 2028.

Cruises through April 2029 are available. Sailings range from four to eight days and cruise the Western Caribbean or the Bahamas.

The ship will be the fifth and final one in Carnival's Excel class. It is under construction at Meyer Werft's shipyard in Germany.

Like the Carnival Festivale, the fourth Excel-class ship arriving next May, the Tropicale will have a three-deck recreational area, Sunsation Point, with a six-slide waterpark that will remain open into the evening. It will also have 1,000 interconnecting rooms in lieu of Family Harbor staterooms.

Dining concepts on the Tropicale (and the Festivale) will include specialty restaurants Uku Lei Lei with Hawaii-inspired and Pan-Asian cuisine, Fetaccini with Greek and Italian dishes from the Mediterranean, and Emeril's Coastal Seafood in partnership with chef Emeril Lagasse.
