Prince Resorts Hawaii has named Craig Anderson its new vice president of operations at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel on the Big Island of Hawaii.
Anderson will oversee daily operations at both the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel, as well as the property’s golf courses, on the Big Island’s western Kohala Coast.
Anderson will be taking over, in part, for Phyllis Branco, the former hotel manager at the Mauna Kea.
“An outstanding leader in Hawaii’s visitor industry and respected member of the community, Craig is the ideal person to take the helm of Mauna Kea Resort,” Donn Takahashi, president of Prince Resorts Hawaii, said in a statement. “As we celebrate Mauna Kea Beach Hotel’s 50th anniversary, Craig’s valuable experience will be critical in leading our resort forward.”
Calling Hawaii home since 1999, Anderson served most recently as the general manager at the Moana Surfrider, a Westin Resort & Spa in Waikiki. He also worked as the general manager at the Westin Maui Resort & Spa and The Westin Princeville on Kauai.
Prince Resorts Hawaii manages three properties across the state: the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel and the Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki and Golf Club.
