Marriott International has opened the Turtle Beach Barbados, A Tribute Portfolio All-Inclusive Resort on the island's South Coast.

The property is a conversion of the former Turtle Beach by Elegant Hotels All-Inclusive, which joined the Marriott fold following Marriott's 2019 acquisition of Elegant Hotels Group.

The revamped resort offers 165 coastal-inspired accommodations, many with ocean views, and multiple food and beverage venues, including the Greek-focused Kefi Restaurant, the open-air Oistins Restaurant and Bar and the Breeze Bar and Restaurant, which serves Caribbean fare.

Family-oriented amenities include the indoor/outdoor Camp Club for kids, which offers activities like Caribbean dance lessons and Bajan-inspired arts and crafts.

Additional activities include snorkeling, kayaking, tennis, culinary classes, live music and seasonal turtle releasing.

The Turtle Beach Barbados opening follows the recent debut of sister property Crystal Cove, with another sister resort, the Tamarind, set to join the Autograph Collection later this summer.
