Czarcinski has worked in the hospitality industry for 38 years, starting his career as assistant general manager at the Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, N.Y. He has also held positions at Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, N.C., and the Claremont Resort in Berkeley, Calif., before becoming general manager at the Westin Bonaventure in 2005.
"Michael's diverse experiences within the visitor industry in many areas of the country -- most recently in Northern and Southern California -- make him the ideal person to carry on the tradition of the 117yearold Moana Surfrider," Harris Chan, Marriott International area vice president for Hawaii and French Polynesia, said in a statement.
