Visitors to the historic pineapple plantation town of Lanai City, Hawaii, have new activities to do during their stay.

The newest place to open is Lanai Bowl, a retro-inspired bowling alley that's open Wednesday-Sunday. The venue serves local cuisine like chicken katsu, garlic shrimp and pizza with house-made Italian sausage from local venison. Desserts include milkshakes, Dole Whip and shave ice.

Another addition is Deep Hawaii Art, a new gallery experience that opened in the former Mike Carroll Gallery space. Founded by marine artist Kristin Belew and business manager Kacy Lorber, the gallery showcases a collection of ocean photography and ofgyotaku (the Japanese art form of fish printing).

For those staying at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai or Sensei Lanai, a Four Seasons Resort, a daily shuttle transports guests from the resorts to town. They also offer a complimentary guided tour of Lanai City for visitors to learn about the destination's pineapple plantation past.
