The Outrigger Hospitality Group (OHG) has made a number of personnel moves in recent weeks, including in their corporate offices and in management at a variety of Hawaii properties.

On the corporate side for the hotel company, Monica Salter has been promoted to vice president of global communications and social responsibility at OHG.

Salter, who joined Outrigger in 2016 as vice president of corporate communications, is expanding her role to lead the company's social responsibility efforts.

James Wilson, previously manager of business intelligence, is also expanding his duties and is now director of business intelligence and analytics services. Kyle Vidal, formerly director of marketing and hotel performance, has been promoted to global media director, focusing on planning, negotiating and distributing all of Outrigger's paid media. Matt Mariconda, who joined Outrigger in 2018 as a senior financial analyst and later served as controller for the Outrigger-managed Embassy Suites by Hilton Waikiki Beach and Ohana Waikiki Malia, is the new director of financial planning and analysis.

In the Aloha State, several properties are under new leadership.

Chryssaldo Thomas is the new area general manager for the Ohana Waikiki East by Outrigger and Waikiki Malia by Outrigger while also serving as general manager for the Ohana Waikiki East by Outrigger. Thomas joined the company as a resort manager at the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort.

Carly Clement is the new general manager at the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort. She joined Outrigger as a resort manager at the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort. Prior to Outrigger, Clement's experience included director of rooms at the Resort at Squaw Creek in California, a Hyatt property, and also at the Modern Honolulu.

Edwin Torres, who first came aboard at Outrigger as food and beverage director at the Outrigger Guam Beach Resort, is the new general manager at the Waikiki Beachcomber by Outrigger. Previously, he served as director of event operations for the Grand Hotel Marriott in Point Clear, Ala., and as food and beverage director at the W Retreat & Spa Vieques Island, Puerto Rico.

Soo Tana, who also started his Outrigger career as food and beverage director at the Outrigger Guam Beach Resort, is the new hotel manager at the Waikiki Malia by Outrigger. Tana has also worked at various properties as a guest services manager, front office manager and assistant hotel manager.
