The Jack Nicklaus Academy, a teaching and training facility, recently opened at the 18-hole Nicklaus-designed Nayar Vidanta Golf Course in Nuevo Vallarta.
The facility is Nicklaus’ 15th academy worldwide and his third in Mexico (the two other academies are in Cancun and Merida).
The academy and the golf course in Nuevo Vallarta are operated by Grupo Vidanta and are available to guests of Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta, a massive complex that includes seven resorts totaling more than 2,000 rooms and 20 restaurants.
Facilities at the academy include climate-controlled coaching studios, a lighted driving range with bunkers and palm trees, practice areas and oversize putting greens and chipping areas.
On-course instruction, training and tactical evaluations are offered to all levels of golfers, and customized lesson packages also are available for individuals and groups.
