Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Resort & Spa launched EcoSirenis, a program that offers a wide variety of activities that not only enables guests to enjoy the hotel’s natural surroundings but also educates them on environmental practices.
“Sirenis Hotels & Resort believes that the success of the tourism industry relies on continual preservation of the environment,” said Amanda Carlow, director of sales and marketing. “With the launch of EcoSirenis, we’ve taken the extra step by encouraging guest involvement in our green initiatives.”
The all-inclusive resort offers walking and biking tours through its new eco-trails, created to spotlight the property’s flora and fauna.
One of the guided tours passes through the new nursery, a conservation area separated into five ecosystems with exhibits of 22 species of native vegetation.
Grand Sirenis plans to launch more campaigns throughout the year to reduce its own environmental impact, increase public awareness and inspire guests to contribute in protecting the environment.
