Loreto-based Sea Kayak Adventures created an all-inclusive, long-weekend package where participants can paddle a sea kayak alongside dolphins, whales and sea lions in the waters of the Sea of Cortes.
The five-night Sea of Cortes Quick Adventure itinerary features activities led by naturalist guides. Clients fly one hour from Los Angeles to Loreto and overnight in a hotel.
They launch for four days of sea kayaking and three nights’ camping in Loreto Bay National Marine Park, Mexico’s newest national park, which serves as sanctuary for blue-footed boobies, fin and blue whales, dolphins and sea lions.
No prior kayaking experience is necessary. Another hotel stay is included on the final night.
Weekly departures are scheduled Oct. 25 through April 30. The price of $995 per person (double occupancy; 10% less for kids) includes taxes; two hotel nights in Loreto; all meals while kayaking; all camping, sleeping & kayaking equipment; airport transfers and ground transportation; instruction; and naturalist guides. Air is not included.
