Mundo Imperial Entertainment & Hospitality has opened the Wayam Mundo Imperial, the company's first hotel in Merida.
Located in the Garcia Gineres neighborhood, Wayam lives in the bones of a 100-year-old residence that has been revamped with a modern design. Amenities include dog-friendly accommodations, aromatherapy and wellness focuses, and local art.

An on-site restaurant, Cuna, is helmed by Mexico City chef Maycoll Calderon. The restaurant will host a monthly dinner series, where Calderon will invite chefs from across Mexico and the world to cook together.
The hotel has 52 rooms, including master, junior, master grand and master premium suites. Each one has a private balcony, smart TVs, smart lighting and Nespresso machines. Facilities include a rooftop pool with bar and terrace, two additional bars, a ballroom, meetings space and gym.
