Travel Weekly has named veteran journalist Jeri Clausing
senior editor for tours and river cruises. She will continue her role as luxury
editor.
Clausing has been covering tours and river cruises on a
temporary basis since August, replacing Michelle Baran, who resigned to join
Afar.

Jeri Clausing
Clausing's vast range of experience includes a previous
stint with Travel Weekly from 2007 to 2011 as hotels editor. She has also
covered government in Austin, Texas, for the Dallas Times Herald, served in
various editorial capacities with the Associated Press, covered technology
policy for the New York Times and was executive editor of Ziff Davis' largest
technology trade publication, Interactive Week.
"Jeri Clausing is an exceptional journalist," said
editor in chief Arnie Weissmann. "I'm delighted she'll continue to serve
readers with the kinds of compelling, insightful reporting they have come to
expect from her and the Travel Weekly staff."
Editor Rob Fixmer added: "Jeri's return to Travel Weekly brings back her unique
blend of energy and creativity to our editorial mix."
Clausing will be based in Albuquerque, N.M., but expects to
be traveling often while covering her beats.
