The sights, sounds and smells of summer in four distinctive Italian regions are captured in "La Dolce Vita," an exhibit at Bellagio's Conservatory & Botanical Gardens through Sept. 7.
A canopy of lemon tree branches and lush greenery are reminiscent of Capri's renowned Da Paolino Restaurant. Three Murano-inspired crystal chandeliers and a 20-foot-tall, vine-covered fountain form an homage to the Fontana dell'Ovato in Villa d'Este, a 16th-century residence in Tivoli. The Palio, Siena's twice-yearly horse race, is depicted in the South Garden, and Milan's famous Teatro alla Scala opera house is also saluted.
Ed Libby designed the exhibit, which requires 57,000 flowers, including 1,400 to create the lemons.
The conservatory is open around the clock and is free to the public.
