The Disneyland Resort is ending its Annual Passport program.
Disneyland Resort president Ken Potrock said in a statement on Thursday the decision stemmed from uncertainty caused by the pandemic and expected capacity limitations when its theme parks are permitted to open.
Though the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando has been open since last summer, Disneyland has remained closed based on California regulations, despite its efforts to gain permission to reopen.

"I know that sunsetting the Annual Passport program will be disappointing to many of our passholders who are just as anxious as we are to reopen our gates and welcome guests back when the time is right," Potrock wrote. "But we are also very excited about what's ahead."
Potrock said Disneyland will "develop new membership offerings" in the future.
Those who held Annual Passports as of March 14, 2020, will continue to receive applicable discounts on merchandise, food and beverages until those new offerings are announced. They will also receive a 30% discount on some merchandise in Downtown Disney and Buena Vista Street Monday through Thursday. Those entitled will be issued pro-rata refunds.
